Meet the team

Tracey Buxton

Creative Director

I started my career at Ronald Masters Hairdressing some 30 years ago; I then went freelance for several years whilst I trained to become an educator where I could pass on my skills and experiences. I spent 3 years as an Evaluation Scientist for Hair and Skin care at Boots testing products and worked with Charles Worthington, Chris Sorbie and Daniel Galvin before becoming a full time lecturer. I am an External Quality Assurance professional and have worked for both City and Guilds and VTCT ensuring teaching, and assessing in Hairdressing is standardised across the country.

I am a graduate with a BA Hons degree in Educational Management as well as qualifying as a Master Colour Expert who specialises in colour and colour correction. I am dedicated to optimising and supporting professionals, and my strong points are guiding young stylists to achieve greater success, by being inspiring, innovative and energetic.

I have a great passion and enthusiasm for the hairdressing industry, I always try to offer my clients something new, and I love it when they look at the finished result and I can see they have exactly the style or colour they wanted. Nothing compares to the feeling of seeing my clients leave really happy, knowing they are feeling great about themselves.

Sarah Millington

Senior Stylist

I carried out an apprenticeship after leaving school and have never looked back, I am as passionate about hairdressing now as I was at 16.

Before my journey in to teaching began I worked in a busy city centre salon, it was here I built up a very a loyal clientele. I began to assess and train the apprentices at the in house training salon where I gained my assessor award.

From here I went on to teach in a secondary school and sixth form centre delivering various qualifications to 14 – 19 year olds, as well as graduating from Nottingham Trent university with the Certificate in Education.

I currently have a part time teaching position within a small college in Derby. I love the role of the tutor, taking on the challenges that I am faced with and watching the learners grow and develop into creative stylists. I always aim to inspire and build confidence by sharing my wealth of experience and assisting the young hairdressers in ensuring they feel as enthusiastic and excited about this ever changing industry that I love.

I thoroughly enjoy hairdressing and there is so much more I want to achieve;
I love the buzz of salon life, meeting new clients and working with new products and techniques to ensure the clients look and feel fantastic.

Camille Thorpe

Apprentice

Before I went into Hairdressing I did 2 years at college on an Aviation course, it was during this time I decided this was not the career for me and that’s when I joined Frost & Buxton as an apprentice Hairdresser. I have always loved creating new styles and my passion is vintage hair and makeup. I am very creative with an alternative twist and love experimenting with new ideas, I am older than my years and I enjoy speaking to the older clients about the war, and how they lived. I am very personable, loyal and have a passion for hair.
When I finish my apprenticeship I want to become a really good hairstylist learn as much as I can from my colleagues and managers then I would like to move to Germany as I adore the country and culture.
